Mrs. O'Poodles' beginnings started in Nov. 1997, with Alona. A dear friend wanted to help Mrs. O'Poodles out and offered to give Alona to her. She was bred to Rusty at the time and Mrs. O'Poodles was to share the litter with her dear friend. Well! Alona presented the two with 12 beautiful babies, 5 apricots and 7 blacks! Mrs. O'Poodles kept Gus because he was so BIG and always different from the rest. He was calm and in control, smart and affectionate, and HUGE!
Mrs. O'Poodles owes her dear friend a special debt of gratitude, for helping her on her journey into the Land of MPS (multiple Poodle syndrome) from which there is no return!
Thank you, my dear friend.
Rusty lived with the "dear friend" for many years, siring beautiful and calm natured red and apricot poodles. But one day, he began to think about his first-love ALONA, and he longed to renew their friendship. So it was arranged that he would visit O'Shannonville! Mrs. O'Poodles begged for Rusty to become a permanent resident, and to be able to live out the rest of his days with the matronly ALONA, and the matronly Mrs. O'Poodles, too.
And so it was done. Rusty is now siring calm and gentle red and apricot Poodles again. Not with the aging ALONA...but with her daughters!
Hmmm! But ALONA doesn't seem, to mind. She is just happy to be with Mrs. O'Poodles, and Mrs. O'Poodles is just as happy to be with ALONA.
